As part of our Vettaths Living Room Sessions , we’re excited to host Floating Folks at Vettaths on Saturday, 6th June , for a live performance that moves across genres, moods, and musical traditions.

Floating Folks (@floatingfolks) is a genre-fluid indie music collective that brings together an odd crew of self-taught musicians.

The collective represents a confluence of diverse musical tastes, accents, and practises that shape what each artist brings to the table. Which, in effect, makes their sound kaleidoscopic, blending soul, pop, folk, ambient, reggae, house, EDM and world music. Their choice of instruments also adds layers to this fluid sound texture, featuring a melange of unconventional instruments ranging from traditional to tribal, toy, self-made, electric, and electronic.

Born out of the love of jamming and sonic experimentation, the collective features a rotating lineup with multiple songwriters, composers and vocalists. Their performance style is site and space specific and their set list consists of both lyrical and non-lyrical compositions.
