Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) is one of Asia’s largest and most influential literary and cultural festivals, held annually at Kozhikode — India’s first UNESCO City of Literature. The festival brings together celebrated authors, poets, journalists, thinkers, artists, and global voices for engaging discussions, book launches, performances, and cultural exchanges.

1. General Terms
- The Kerala Literature Festival (hereinafter referred to as "KLF") is organised by DC Kizhakemuri Foundation.
- Entry and participation in the Festival are governed by these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Cancellation & Refund Policy published on our official website www.keralaliteraturefestival.com.
- KLF reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. The updated version will be posted on the website.
2. Registration and Passes
- All participants, including delegates, student delegates, and attendees, must register through the official website or authorised registration partners.
- Registration is valid only upon successful payment and confirmation email.
- Each pass is personal and non-transferable unless expressly permitted by the organisers.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration at their discretion, in cases of fraud, misrepresentation, or breach of terms.
3. Entry and Access
- Participants must carry a valid delegate badge or pass at all times within the Festival venue.
- Entry to certain sessions, workshops, or performances may be restricted to specific pass categories.
- Security personnel have the right to inspect bags and belongings for safety reasons.
- Attendees must comply with all security, safety, and crowd-control measures implemented by the organisers.
4. Code of Conduct
- KLF promotes free expression, respectful dialogue, and inclusivity.
- Participants must conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Disruptive behaviour, harassment, or offensive language towards speakers, volunteers, or other participants will not be tolerated and may lead to removal from the venue without refund.
- Smoking, consumption of alcohol, or prohibited substances within the venue is strictly forbidden unless in designated areas permitted by law.
5. Event Schedule and Modifications
- The organisers reserve the right to alter, reschedule, or cancel any session, speaker, or activity due to unforeseen circumstances.
- In such cases, all reasonable efforts will be made to inform registered participants through email or announcements on the official website.
- No claims or compensation shall arise due to changes in the schedule or lineup.
6. Photography, Videography, and Media Rights
- By attending the Festival, you consent to being photographed or recorded by authorised media and festival teams.
- Such content may be used for promotional, archival, or media purposes by KLF and its partners.
- Personal photography or recording is allowed for non-commercial use only.
7. Intellectual Property
- All content presented at the Festival — including speeches, performances, visuals, and written material — is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of such content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
8. Liability Disclaimer
- KLF and its organisers shall not be held responsible for any loss, theft, injury, or damage occurring during the Festival.
Participants attend and participate at their own risk. - The organisers are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond their reasonable control (force majeure).
9. Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellations and refunds will be governed strictly by the KLF Cancellation & Refund Policy available on the official website.
10. Data Privacy
- Personal data collected during registration will be used solely for Festival administration, communication, and relevant updates.
- Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties, except as required by law or to provide event-related services.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
- Any disputes arising out of or related to participation in the Festival shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kozhikode, Kerala.

Pet parents are fully responsible for their pet’s behaviour and safety. -
Clean-Up Rule
Clean up after your pet immediately. Disposal bins will be provided. -
Aggressive Behaviour
Pets showing aggressive behaviour may be asked to leave for everyone’s safety. -
Health Condition
Unwell, injured, or female pets in heat are not allowed inside the venue. -
Hydration & Comfort
Ensure your pet is well hydrated and not stressed. Take breaks when needed. -
No Outside Food (If Applicable)
Outside pet food or treats may be restricted in certain activity zones. -
Activity Participation
Follow staff instructions during games, pools, contests, and stage activities. -
Respect the Community
Be kind to fellow pet parents, pets, vendors, and volunteers.
